New Chansijin Class starting July 8th

Qi Gong : Chi Kung

Qi Gong is the practice of circulating Qi in and around the body, over time creating Qi momentum. These classes draw on seven different systems of gentle, soft, vitalizing movements which encourage the revitalization of internal organs, balanced dynamic change, and the unraveling of old injuries.

Teaching methods are designed to give students sufficient understanding and experience to begin practicing on their own. At the heart of qi gong practices is the circulation of qi and the creation of qi momentum through consistent practice, ultimately synchronizing our gestures with nature's larger rhythms.

Types of Qigong regularly taught :

  • Wu Xing-5 organ systems & 3 burners qi gong (cloud hands and 3 swings)
  • Muscle Tendon qi gong (8 stretching and lengthenings)
  • 8 Extraordinary Meridians Qi gong
  • Heaven & Earth (micro/macro cosmic orbit, joint pulsing & elasticity)
  • Spine qi gong
  • Chan su jing, Silk Spinning (36 joint releasing & spiraling movements)
  • Immortals Dancing in the Clouds (Qi gong for teaching Bagua)
